Our mission at Couture Bridal is to provide exceptional service to discerning brides looking for that perfect gown. It is our pleasure to work with you to make shopping for your wedding dress a fun and memorable experience.
Why Couture Bridal?
We are a full service boutique focused on the bride; we do not sell bridesmaid or formal dresses. It’s all about you at Couture Bridal. All of our gowns range in size from 2 to 30 and we stock a fabulous variety of accessories and veils.
We offer a wide selection of gowns from top designers like Stella York, Mary’s Bridal, John Paul Ataker and Symphony Bridal. These designers offer exceptional quality and couture designs at very affordable prices. We also have 200 discontinued sample gowns from other designers at more than half off the retail price, these are ‘off the rack’ and ready to worn.
Designers Available at Couture Bridal
In addition to our designer sample gowns, Couture Bridal carries a number of lines. We carry several styles in each line that can be ordered in sizes 2-30 and in various fabrics and colors.
Stella York: Dressed in spectacular beading, glamorous laces and enchanting fabrics, the Stella York bride is assured to be the center of elegance and attention. Whether a bride is graced in soft organza, chiffons and Carmeuse or romantic satins and taffetas, the Stella York collection is an extraordinary accompaniment to her every desire.
Mary’s Bridal: Mary’s Bridal by PC Mary’s Inc. is one of the nation’s largest and most successful bridal gown designers and manufacturer. Mary, also the owner’s name, started with the exchange of a piece of gauzy white wedding gown fabric over 30 years ago. After 30 years of business and over a million dresses sold, Mary’s Bridal is still at the forefront of creating stunning, form fitting handmade gowns that make you look fabulous! We are committed to quality, service, and reliability.
Symphony Bridal: Symphony Bridal Collections are contemporary and stunning wedding dresses, bridal veils, wedding tiaras, crowns and other headwear and accessories for the ultimate in romantic style down the aisle!
John Paul Ataker: The House of John Paul Ataker is rooted in more than three decades of fashion, and two decades of creating some of the most decadent textiles in the world. Founded as a custom tailor shop in Istanbul, in 1977, the Ataker legacy is based on luxury craftsmanship, sumptuous fabrications and Couture influence.
Does the dress drive the venue or the venue drive the dress?
As we get brides in the shop, we always ask when they are getting married and if they have selected a venue yet. About half of the brides have an idea of a venue, but others are waiting until they select their dress to ‘set the tone’.
The fun thing about current fashion trends is that anything goes! If a bride selects a fabulous all lace fit and flair gown it could be worn for an outdoor rustic or ‘shabby chic’ wedding or it could be dressed up with a tiara and worn in an formal candlelight ceremony. If a flowing organza sheath is selected, a destination beach wedding would be great or a beautiful ceremony in a Country Club would work as well.
We’ve had brides who want to wear cowboy boots or converse, barefoot or Jimmy Choos. The point is, anything goes. Don’t worry about following the rules or being judged by those who attend, it’s YOUR day. Make it something that represents you and your fiancé’s life together. Pick a gown that you LOVE that makes you feel special, beautiful, and confident. If you want to wear to wear a taffeta gown with a 9-foot train on the beach, go for it!!!! Just have FUN!
Size doesn’t matter
To answer the age-old question: Size does not matter!
Ok, maybe I’m not speaking in the context of the original question… rather I am referring to the selection of a bridal gown. People work very hard every day to maintain or achieve a goal weight, or there are those of us that haven’t reached a goal or have some body image issues.
As a result, dress size can be something of pride or something that you don’t want to share with your family and friends. When you begin shopping for your bridal gown, you will find that sizes typically run smaller than standard street-sized clothing. It seems like the higher end the designer, the more skewed their dress size scale. Don’t get hung up on the size of the dress, shop for something that flatters your silhouette and makes you feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident.
Size doesn’t matter when it comes to bridal gowns.
At Couture Bridal, we don’t talk sizes. We don’t even have size indicators on our racks. We want you to find a beautiful design that is right for you, not limit your selection by what size you think you should be wearing. Remember, gowns can be altered – most will need to be altered. Downsizing is easier is than letting a gown out. So, when you shop, let your imagine go and don’t limit yourself based on a number.
